A perfect tour for those who enjoy the visual arts! We begin our art experience in the heart of downtown Erie where we find the Erie Art Museum, Glass Growers Gallery and Accents by the Bay. The Erie Art Museum, which features collections ranging from American, European and Asian art, offers an exciting schedule of temporary exhibits. Glass Growers Gallery presents the conventional, occasionally the conspicuous, and often the curious fine art and American handcrafts. The gallery was founded in 1974 and blends the functional with the decorative in its offerings of jewelry, pottery, blown glass, metal and wood works. Accents by the Bay is filled with an amazing assortment of fine gifts and personal items, and jewelry, sculptures and other works of art created by local talent. We make our way west to Allen Stoneware which offers pottery, jewelry, sculpture and showcases custom personalized pottery, and conclude our tour at The Kada Gallery. Kada is the largest dealer of original art in the region, showcasing works from nationally and internationally recognized artists. The gallery regularly shows all types of mediums, two- and thee-dimensional pieces, as well as hard-to-find prints.
